Looking Back

Celebrate Anew

Celebrate
You cope all year with the creative isolation that's part of the writer's journey. Our annual conference is an opportunity for you to meet and exchange ideas with hundreds of other writers, to hone your craft, find expert advice, sell your work and get your creative juices flowing. Inspiration is what it's all about, and the inspiration you gain during the Willamette Writer's 2008 conference this August will help fire you up and carry you through the winter months - and work - ahead. In the photo, conference attendees are preparing to attend out awards banquet.

Focus
This year's workshops will be so good you will wish you had a clone before it's over. Choose from over 80 workshops conducted by seasoned pros in the areas of fiction, non-fiction, screenwriting, manuscript editing, publishing, pitching, entering writing contests, research and business. Whether you write self-help books, historic fiction, blockbuster Hollywood screenplays, mysteries, romance, magazine articles, sci-fi, plays, children's books, humor, or simply need help marketing yourself as a professional, you'll find helpful guidance and keen insights at the 2008 Willamette Writer's Conference.

Achieve
Over 50 literary agents and editors, plus Hollywood film managers, agents and producers, will be on hand to listen to your ideas. We'll be bringing back some of the most respected and reputable names in the industry, plus adding some new, influential guests. They're all looking for the next, breakthrough talent - so don't miss this rare opportunity for getting your work in print or on the big screen. Here, Regina Brooks meets with an attendee at our 2007 conference.
